* Don't just Listen to the Words... Listen to the
Tone...Inflection...even...Silence...

A) Word patterns
B) Thematic patterns
1) Does theme contain echoes of other
stories or places?
C) Structural patterns
D) Similitudes
1) Does story resemble other stories
2) Are there patterns in the story itself
a) Repetitions
b) Comparisons
c) Juxtapositions
E) Parallelisms
